DHS wants $2500 gloves that jolt migrants through skin contact alone, deployed by March 2027, with no competitive bidding and no public safety testing.
WTF ARE WE DOING? Shut down this fascist gang. Hold hearings and accountability on all deaths and arrests of non-criminals. We do not need ice, we have customs and border patrol, FBI,sheriff's, state police, local police,and national guard. Take the ice budget and put it in health care. Forget the gloves. It should be HANDS OFF anyone questioned or stopped by ICE for questioning. The ICE staff seem to be unable to control themselves or others without physical interventions that too often escalate and throwing people to the ground and other physical restraints in retaliation for looking like a someone (according to the Agent's own ideas) is a bad idea all around..
Since when is this acceptable, even with local police? People MIGHT BE someone or something so you can bring them, helpless, to their knees? No evidence or even conversation required. Imagine if this happened without thought or recourse or explanation, next to you on the street? Or TO YOU, on the street.
Ask a question first! Something like, "Can I speak with you about your immigration status?" If someone is a citizen or here legally they probably will not refuse. To move to physically incapacitate someone. with a device that may kill them, by interruption of normal heart function, first, rather than last, is dangerously risky for all in the area, including the ICE agent. Let's pretend this is real life and not some action movie with desperate criminals involved and do the sane thing here, Just ask.
I am actually glad they have incorporated another non-lethal deterrant. It is to be used like other non-lethals only when the individual is not complying with orders or gets violent. Otherwise it is kept off. There is a problem with accidentally touching oneself or other officers, so it is not left on. This is a low voltage device, so normal heart function is not an issue. But excitement and the sympathetic flight response could itself provoke a heart attack or arrhythmia. ICE is probably advised not to use the gloves on children or the elderly. My only hope is that people whether citizens or illegals obey orders from all law enforcement and fire personnel and avoid them having to use tear gas, pepper spray, bean bags, rubber bullets, or now these gloves. Anything to protect lives and avoid fatalities.
Do you actually think most of the current ICE officers will care? They haven't so far. ICE officers used to dress in jackets that said ICE, wore/carried badges clearly giving ID, went maskless, and weren't armed to the teeth like robocops.

The dictators personal army to go after and punish anyone the dictator deems an adversary or that does not bow down to his dictates. Immigrants are the first excuse and a group to practice on. All this while the useless u s senate make no effort to correct this lawlessness. Only control is force. Military, national guard, U S marshalls and since they all love and support the dictator, it is a force by the people. Voting and demonstrations are great, admire and support those who give of themselves.
The CABAL that now controls and runs the country thru a puppet dictator could care less about voting and protesting. ICE is there along with the FBI and even the military and national guard to protect them.
We the citizens who want a functioning government operating as a democracy for the people, of the people, by the people are now faced with same choices our forefathers faced just prior to the American Revolution and Civil War. Will we let it all fall or will we stand up risking our livelihood so our children and future American generations can have as good a country and society as our forefathers provided us? ? ?
So what can states provide to return the current to the ice agent . There must be a tool to cut off the current or shield the skin . Lets use it on Miller as a test. He must come out sometime.
