Why not apply for citizenship? My husband is now a citizen, the process is really not that hard. Given you don't have a criminal record and have been paying taxes etc.

Hi Stacy, thank you for you comment. It’s a common misconception that marrying a US citizen is a clear path to a green card and eventual citizenship for everyone. Many undocumented spouses of US Citizens do not have path to citizenship in the US, some no path at all.

Please read my post about exactly how our broken immigration laws required my husband and I to live in the shadows or leave the US for 10yrs+ in our case.
