Same story, different day. Then they were hated for supposedly running cheaper laundries. Johnson's statement is absolutely a precursor to the type of rhetoric that leads to genocide. We must denounce othering of people, period, every time.
Romans 13 does NOT refer to civil government, as some translations imply. The context is referring to authority within the church. Civil governments are not instituted by God, as can be understood by even a cursory reading of history.
