Nothing will change with the new head of DHS, in fact it might get worse. The Oklahoma guy has no morals and will not hesitate to try for even more detentions. Just another little person thinking they are now a big shot. This abduction by ICE will be another showdown in the courts and ICE will lose again.

I could totally see it getting worse. That's for sure.

This is INSANE.

Agree: ICE must release Estefany immediately.

As long as Congress sits passively by, things will only get worse with ICE. They violate the Constitution and the laws every time… and then lie, even when there’s video evidence to the contrary. Now that Kristi Noem has been removed (given a new position), anyone who thought things might improve, should think again. The man who replaced her, Markwayne Mullin, is a plumber….with no qualifications for Homeland Security. He is only loyal to Donald Trump. Unfortunately, the courts are also corrupt, although there are a few decent judges left. Hopefully this woman gets one of those.

The judge is demanding information in her case. I think that's a good sign. Engaging the courts is key. When they are responsive, it can be hopeful. That's my opinion anyway. But I'm not a lawyer.

While I'm glad a judge is doing SOMETHING, it's way too little, way too slowly. Seems to me he should stay her detention and send her home while the alleged grounds for it are sorted out. Isn't that how detention is supposed to work - you justify the violation of liberty BEFORE you take it away? Pretty sure we have a constitutional amendment all about that, no?

At the very least, he should prohibit her being sent to an out of state facility before it has even been proved they had a right to take her in the first place.
