New Yorkers Block ICE Raid in Manhattan
As Trump escalates collective punishment, New Yorkers put their bodies on the line.
Good morning! On Saturday around noon, roughly 200 New Yorkers flooded the corner of Centre and Howard on the edge of Chinatown, linked arms at the mouth of a government parking garage, and refused to move. They’d caught wind that federal immigration agents were gearing up for a fresh ICE raid, so they did what New Yorkers do when power overreaches: they built a human barricade and started chanting “ICE out of New York” at the loading dock.
