Mills Proposes Citizenship Ban

“No alien who enters the United States unlawfully shall be eligible for naturalization.”

WASHINGTON — Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., unveiled the ‘No Citizenship for Alien Invaders Act’ on Thursday, a legislative long shot which would permanently bar anyone who enters the U.S. illegally from ever gaining citizenship.

“America is a nation of laws,” Mills said in a statement, sidestepping the irony of his own recent brush with the law—an investigation last month in Washington, D.C., for allegedly assaulting a woman, which ended without charges. “Citizenship must be reserved for those who respect our laws and our borders.”
