A Swiss colleague called me out yesterday in the DMs for using AI to write Migrant Insider, an assertion Iâve never denied but never admitted to, either.
At issue is a post I wrote yesterday that misidentified them as a hacker when, in fact, they are a journalist. I corrected my story with apology.
With that, an announcement: Migrant Insiderâs tech beat launches this morning with one subscriber: me. Tech is a beat I seldom cover but think about a lot â especially AI, a niche where I know I can break news and possibly start a conversation, all while learning more about both the latest tools and the broader industry.
But before I do that, I think itâs worth articulating to paid subscribers how I use AI to build this newsletter which has added a tech section to house a second beat. To avoid sending my immigration readers tech coverage they didnât ask for, I did not add everyone to this section, but will link to it in subsequent migrant-related posts, for awareness.
