Noem's attemp to reduce these specific symbols from criminal investigation-worthy signs of hate and implied lean toward violence, has shown us all just how hateful a racist anti-middle-easterners, and anti-all-people who look different from her she really is. Absolutely DISGUSTING.
Was the directive ordered by her some time ago, to start December 15? How long had the Coast Guard leadership known about it before the newspaper reported it? And are they only taking "swift action" because they were outed, or did all of this happen on November 20?
There's so much wrong here! The laser focus this administration has on trying to normalize hate is awesome not in a good way. By literally rewriting and perverting codes of conduct that should be non-controversial. Trump and his people know these are there, and delight in undoing them. When do we make it the law of the land - it's illegal and if you're found with it your fucked. Game over. Especially if you're serving in the military, federal, state, local roles of authority and government, etc.
The other part of this is we have to get to the root of why people think it's OK to hang a noose, show the Swastika, idolize these symbols of hate, and reinforce why those things are wrong. There is such a lack of humanity among our American neighbors. It's mind boggling.
