Blink and You’ll Miss It: H-2B Filing Window Slams Shut July 5
Employers seeking temporary foreign workers must submit applications between July 3–5 or risk denial
WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) has issued a formal reminder to employers: the three-day filing window for H-2B temporary employment certifications with October 1, 2025, start dates will run from July 3 to July 5.
The window opens precisely at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on July 3 and closes at 11:59 p.m. on July 5. Applications submitted even a minute early or late will be denied outright, OFLC confirmed in a public notice posted Friday.
