MIGRANT INSIDER is the first and only immigration newsroom embedded in the Washington press corps — credentialed at Congress, the White House, and the Supreme Court — and in the last year and a half, we have broken news that the biggest outlets in this country missed, ignored, or didn’t have the access to find.

We’ve been inside the detention centers. We’ve interviewed the people locked inside them. We’ve sat with senators and made them answer for their votes. We’ve tracked the legislation, the court rulings, the executive orders, the enforcement surges, and the human beings caught in all of it — and we’ve reported every single piece of it with one standard: does this serve the migrant community, or does it serve power?

We already know what power sounds like. You don’t need us for that.

What you need us for is everything else. The FOIA nobody else filed. The story nobody else followed. The source nobody else called back. The question nobody else asked on the record.

That’s what your subscription pays for. Not access to a newsfeed. Access to a newsroom that operates like your life depends on what we find out — because for a lot of people, it does.

I was brought to this country as an infant. I’ve been reporting from inside the Washington press corps for years. I know what these halls sound like when nobody’s watching. I know what gets said when the cameras are off.

I write it down. Sometimes I film it. Then I publish it. Every day.

You should be here for it.
